Janice Lee Sharp, 81, of Kirksville, A Simplified Funeral Solution

Janice Lee Sharp, 81, of Kirksville, Missouri passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Northeast Regional Hospital in Kirksville, Missouri.

Janice was born in Green City, Missouri, July 31, 1937 the daughter of Alvin R. Jacobs and Irma E. (Spray) Jacobs. On May 30, 1958 she married her husband James W. Sharp.

She is preceded in death by her husband and parents; one son, Mitchell Gene Sharp; two brothers-in-law’s, Rondal Fanning, Terry Jones and nephew, Jimmy Fanning.

Janice is survived by her daughter, Jamie and husband James Brown of Cape Coral Florida; six grandchildren, Matthew Sharp of Fort Myer’s FL., Megan Sharp -Anderson and husband Cory of Dallas NC., Shaun Gaines and wife Leslie of Atlanta GA., Kristin and husband Kacey Schrauger, Emily Casey of Fort Myer’s Fl., Tiffany Casey of Fort Myer’s FL.; five great grandchildren; brother, Ronald and wife Violet Jacobs of Green City, Mo.; sister’s. Elaine and husband Bill Frazier of Green City, Mo., Carol Fanning and Aubrey Jones both of Milan, Mo.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Janice grew up in Green City and spent her early years earning her master’s degree in teaching. She spent 20 plus years teaching 5th and 6th grade until she retired from education. In 1979 she and her husband decided to move to Cape Coral Florida and started a business building spec. home’s. Janice was excellent designer, painter and had and over all love for art and creativity. She was an extremely hard worker who never complained. She also had a soul full of adventure. She loved to travel the US, Canada and go RVing with her husband. They enjoyed many places during their travels but especially loved Branson, MO. One of her favorite trips was to load up the RV and head to Busch Garden’s with the grandkids. After the passing of her husband, Janice decided to move back to Green City, Mo to be closer to her siblings and family.

Janice wishes were for cremation with no services and for her cremains to be inurned next to her husband James in Fort Myer’s Florida.
