Congressman Fleischmann awarded Captain Mickey McCamish, USN (RET) and Stacey Kehoe the Congressional Recognition Award for their outstanding and invaluable service to our community and state.

Captain McCamish and Ms. Kehoe were awarded at the Tennessee Society's Daughters of the American Revolution State Conference held in Franklin.  Both were nominated by the NSDAR, Judge David Campbell Chapter. Ms. Kehoe is also the regent of the Judge David Campbell Chapter, NSDAR.

“I was humbled to honor two exemplary Tennesseans that embody the epitome of the Volunteer spirit,” said Congressman Fleischmann. “Captain Mickey McCamish, a veteran of the US Navy and President of the Navy League of Greater Chattanooga Council, received the Outstanding Veteran Volunteer DAR Award for his service to our country and community.

"Stacy Kehoe, vice president of the Navy League of Greater Chattanooga Council received the Outstanding DAR Service for Veterans Award for her many roles to ensure that our nation’s patriots are cared for and honored after their service.

"In addition, their participation in various military organizations and committees such as the Chattanooga Area Veteran’s Council, the Armed Forces Day Parade Committee, the Navy Ball Committee, and leadership of the Chattanooga Navy League allows East Tennesseans to show our respect for service members year-round. It was a privilege to recognize their steadfast commitment as they go above and beyond the call of duty for our East Tennessee veterans.”

Currently, both Captain McCamish and Ms. Kehoe are serving on the Wreaths Across America Committee at the Chattanooga National Cemetery to Remember and Honor the 43,000 veterans at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
