The FBI is hoping you can help them nab the 'traveling bandit'.

That's the name they have given a serial bank robber who has to date struck in seven cities in a half dozen states, including North Carolina.

The first bank holdup happened in Aventura, Florida on December 28th. The same man then hit a Suntrust Bank in Asheville on January 2nd, two banks in Tennessee on January 4th and 8th, then a bank in Alabama on the 10th, one in Illinois on Monday, and the last one Thursday in Salt Lake City.

The FBI says their agents named him the 'traveling bandit' because of the great distances he has covered in robbing the banks.

So no one has been injured in any of the robberies and agents believe the man may strike again in the near futures given his previous patterns.

The robber may be driving a white Ford Explorer or Expedition.

Anyone who knows the man should call 754-703-2000, their local police, or their closest FBI office.
