The Big Bang Theory cast have clearly got mixed opinions on the sitcom’s final season, which is now eight episodes in and the end is officially nigh.

Fans were devastated when CBS confirmed The Big Bang Theory had been axed after 12 seasons, but no one took the blow harder than Kelly Cuoco, who admitted she cried for weeks.

‘I mean, it’s 12 years of my life, we’ve all had a lot of ups and downs in the last 12 years we’re a very close group and, you know, we have a legacy of the show,’ she told Entertainment Tonight.

‘It’s something I’ll have for the rest of my life. It’s something I’ll probably compare every project to, like nothing will be like Big Bang. It just is what it is. It’s made me who I am. It’s given me so many great things and blessings and I’ll be very indebted to the show and Chuck Lorre forever.’

Naturally, fans are desperate for a TBBT spin-off series, with most cries calling for Kaley’s Penny and her on-screen husband Leonard, played by Johnny Galecki, to continue their story with another show.

‘I would be interested in working with Chuck again, and these are Chuck’s characters and it’s really whatever he would want,’ Kelly assured.

Sounds promising, right? Well, wait until you hear what her co-star Johnny has to say too.

‘Absolutely not,’ he stressed (via news.com.au). ‘The show could not continue without Jim.’

Oh…

Although, he did admit, that like the rest of his cast, he’s been cut up about the ending too.

‘I don’t think anyone was in disagreement about [the show ending], but that doesn’t mean that it was an easy conversation,’ he added. ‘There were a lot of tears and a lot of hugs. But even if we took the show to season 35, that conversation is inevitable and still would have been just as difficult and emotional.’

The Big Bang Theory continues on CBS in the US and E4 in the UK.
