Dyami Brown, a four-star ATH, includes Ohio State in top five, commits to North Carolina hours later

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Four-star athlete Dyami Brown of Charlotte (N.C.) West Mecklenburg took an unofficial visit to Ohio State for the spring game 10 days ago, so it was no surprise when he included the Buckeyes in his top five Tuesday.

Here's the surprise: Five hours after releasing that top five -- which included Ohio State, North Carolina, Alabama, Virginia Tech and Michigan -- he announced his commitment to North Carolina.

Recruiting is weird.

Rated the No. 10 athlete in the 2018 recruiting class in the 247Sports composite rankings, Brown had 15 offers from elite programs before ending his recruitment.

"I am truly honored and blessed to have this opportunity to play football at the next level," Brown wrote on Twitter when he posted his top five. "First I would like to thank God, my parents, family, coaches, teachers and administrators for assisting me and supporting me through this process. I would like to thank all the universities that had interest interest in me during the process."

Then hours later, this post went up.
