It's a girl! Iowa Cubs infielder hosts gender reveal party after delivering the game-winning hit

Iowa Cubs infielder Mike Freeman had an unforgettable day at Principal Park on Sunday.

First, Freeman delivered a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning of a 3-2 win over the Omaha Storm Chasers.

It was an all-around good day for Freeman, who went 2-for-5 with three runs batted in for Iowa — including a single in with two outs in the bottom of the ninth that scored Jacob Hannemann from second base.

That likely wasn't the highlight of the day for the Freeman family, though, which gathered on the field after the game at Principal Park to learn the gender of their baby.

Together, the couple opened up a box which was full of pink balloons. Many of Freeman's teammates surrounded the two and cheered them on as the balloons went flying.
