2 killed in McPherson County crash

Update:

The Kansas Highway Patrol says two people were killed and one person was critically injured in a two-vehicle crash Thursday night in McPherson County.

Troopers say 57-year-old Timothy Kersten, of Hillsboro was driving east on 56 when he crossed the center line and hit a SUV driven by 34-year-old Abby McIntosh, of Galva.

Both Kersten and McIntosh died.

A 13-year-old passenger in McIntosh's vehicle was badly injured.

Kansas Highway Patrol troopers are on the scene of a crash causing a highway closure in McPherson County.

The KHP tells us both lanes of US-56 are closed at 23rd Avenue near Galva.

Viewers have reached out to Eyewitness News saying this is a fatal crash. As troopers remain on the scene, the KHP has not confirmed the severity of the wreck.
