State Police had to chase down a man they say stole a Ford F-350 from Park Hills Grocery store on KY 32.

Troopers say they had received a call about the theft when they saw a truck matching the description at a Kroger Center. When investigators turned on their emergency lights, however, the driver took off.

The driver, 46-year-old Brian Strunk, continued driving down KY 32 into Morehead, according to police, hitting speeds of 95 mph. Troopers say Strunk was driving erratically, and forced at least 2 other vehicles off the road and into the ditch line.

As Strunk drove into Olive Hill, police there were able to get in front of him and slow the truck down. Troopers say Strunk stopped on US 60 just west of the KY 2 intersection. At that point, police say Strunk came out of the truck and was arrested without further incident.

Strunk was charged with speeding, theft by unlawful taking, fleeing or evading police, and wanton endangerment, and other moving violations. He was taken to the Rowan County Detention Center.
