Syracuse, N.Y. -- Quincy Guerrier, a 6-foot-7 forward from Quebec City, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for Syracuse University.

Guerrier signed his letter of intent in a ceremony at Thetford Academy on Wednesday.

Earlier in the day, Joe Girard III, a 6-2 guard from Glens Falls, N.Y., signed his letter of intent to play at Syracuse. Two other 2019 recruits who have committed to Syracuse (Brycen Goodine of St. Andrew's School in Barrington, R.I., and John Bol Ajak of Westtown School in West Chester, Pa.) are expected to sign on Wednesday as well.

Guerrier is ranked ranked No. 48 in the 2019 recruiting class by 247Sports.com.

Guerrier committed to Syracuse just two weeks ago. He picked the Orange over other finalists Oregon and Illinois.

Guerrier has said that he will graduate from Thetford Academy in December and enroll at Syracuse for the spring semester. However, he is expected to sit out the remainder of the 2018-19 season. He will practice with the SU players, but not play in games.
