ANNVILLE, Pa. — Blair Orndorf of Chambersburg, Pa., is among the nine Lebanon Valley College Department of Art & Visual Culture majors who are showing their works in the “Studio Art Thesis Exhibition” at the college’s Suzanne H. Arnold Art Gallery.

The showcase, running from Wednesday, April 25, to Saturday, May 12, will feature works by Orndorf, a member of the class of 2020, as well as Maya Calderwood of Hatboro, Pa.; Heidi Deitz of Schaefferstown, Pa.; Anna Evanko of Glen Gardner, N.J.; Rachel Frantz of Lebanon, Pa.; Sarah Johnson of West Grove, Pa.; Charlotte Jones of Fleetwood, Pa.; Audrey Reiley of Auburn, Pa.; and Jordan Sears of Greensboro, Md.

The pieces were created this semester in a class taught by Michael Pittari, professor of art and visual culture.

As a capstone experience in the Studio Art class, the work of each artist demonstrates conceptual thinking and technical refinement in the visualization of complex ideas.

The “Studio Art Thesis Exhibition” marks the first show of student work exhibited in the gallery in about a decade.

The opening reception for the Studio Art Thesis Exhibition is from 5 to 7 p.m. April 25 in Zimmerman Recital Hall of the Suzanne H. Arnold Art Gallery. It is free and open to the public.

Gallery hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday; 1 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday; and by appointment for groups.
