“It was a no-brainer” – says Abhishek Bachchan on starring in Anurag Basu’s Ludo : Bollywood News

Netflix has released the trailer of its upcoming action-comedy caper, Ludo, which will release on the service on November 12, 2020. Launched during a press conference on October 19, Ludo takes you on four different journeys which meet at a crossroad.

Speaking of working in the Anurag Basu directorial, Abhishek Bachchan said at the virtual press conference, “Everybody who is associated with this film had this greed to work with dada (Basu). I have always admired his work and we both have been trying to work together for many years. It was a no-brainer. In life, it is nice to take a leap of faith, to do work that sometimes takes you back to training.”

Pankaj Tripathi, who is also a part of the multi-starrer, further said, “It was fun exploring this journey while shooting. In life, we don't know the script of what is going to happen tomorrow but in cinema, we know the script, what's the next scene. We should leave it just like that, here we had a director to look after us.”

Speaking to his upcoming release, director Anurag Basu said, “Ludo is unlike any film I’ve made before. It's been an adventure. It was fantastic working with such a talented ensemble - where each actor brought a unique vision and craft. Pritam, one of my closest collaborators, who I have worked with on so many projects, worked closely with me to bring this film to life and I am so grateful to him. T Series has been fantastic partners through this process and I’m excited that Ludo is getting a global audience with Netflix and hope that they enjoy this Diwali entertainer with their families.”

Ludo brings together an ensemble cast including Abhishek A. Bachchan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Rajkummar Rao, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Rohit Saraf, Pearle Maaney, Pankaj Tripathi, Asha Negi, Shalini Vats, and Inayat Verma.
