Death Cab for Cutie is an indie rock band led by singer-songwriter Ben Gibbard, celebrating DCfC’s ninth studio album released in August. The group, nominated for eight Grammys including Best Rock Album in 2015, is best known for songs like “Soul Meets Body,” “I Will Follow You Into the Dark,” “Black Sun” and “I Will Possess Your Heart.”
Jenny Lewis first rose to fame in the ’80s as an actress, appearing in films like “Troop Beverly Hills,” “The Wizard” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry." In the late ’90s, she launched a music career as the frontwoman for Rilo Kiley, and has continued performing her acclaimed blend of indie rock and alt-country as a solo artist.
Will fans get to hear any The Postal Service songs? Lewis also provided backing vocals for Gibbard’s 2003 side project with Dntel’s Jimmy Tamborello, including hits “The District Sleeps Alone Tonight” and “We Will Become Silhouettes.”
