Ashcraft, McAlister win Swingers title

Blake Ashcraft and Chris McAlister held onto their two-stroke lead and won the championship flight of the Swingers Tournament at Hillcrest Golf Course on Sunday.

The duo combined for a three-day total of 196 in the 54-hole, best-ball partnership tournament. Ashcroft and McAlister held off Bubba Bailey and Thumper Galyean, who combined to shoot a three-day total of 198. Bailey and Galyean shot a 68 on the final day of the tournament, cutting into the lead but weren't able to complete the turnaround.

Ashcroft and McAlister finished at 20-under par after leading the tournament on both of the first two days of the tournament.

Ashcroft and McAlister had four birdies Sunday, going 1-under on the first, third, 11th and 13th holes. However, they bogeyed hole No. 10.

Bailey and Galyean had five birdies, but also had a bogey, picking it up on the 12th hole.
