Debra Winger is set to co-star opposite Ashton Kutcher, Danny Masterson and Sam Elliott in Netflix‘s multi-camera comedy series The Ranch, which has a 20-episode order. Created by Don Reo and Jim Patterson, The Ranch is set on a Colorado spread, with Kutcher’s character returning home after a brief semi-pro football career to run the family business with his brother, played by Masterson. Elliott play the boys’ father, a rancher who has a complicated relationship with Kutcher’s character. Winger plays the mom.
Reo and Patterson executive produce the series, set to debut in 2016. Former That ’70s Show co-stars Kutcher and Masterson produce.
This marks Winger’s first full-time series regular gig. Her only previous regular TV stint was a season-long arc on HBO’s In Treatment. The three-time Oscar nominee had scaled back her acting commitments to raise her family. With her youngest child now off to college this fall, she had been more open to full-time work.
Winger is repped by Gersh, Framework and attorney Ira Schreck.
