The BBC's Great British Bake Off replacement that isn't – The Big Family Cooking Showdown – returned for its second episode tonight (August 22) and it was just as warm and cozy as the first.

Tonight saw the Dawes family from Hampshire compete against the Karim family from West London in order to impress judges Giorgio Locatelli and especially Rosemary Shrager.

Rosemary in particular criticised the Karims for playing it too safe with two curry dishes in a row, but it could be argued that the Dawes went too far in the other direction...

Yup, taking a leaf out of the Mary Berry Everyday book, the Dawes served up a twist on a staple food that massively divided viewers: Brussel sprouts on pizza.

At the end of the episode, it was revealed that the Karim family will be going through to the semi-final. How will they fare? We'll have to wait and see!
