Krauthammer said the president lacks urgency in confronting ISIS

Charles Krauthammer told viewers Wednesday on “Special Report with Bret Baier” that while the American people are hoping for a sense of urgency from the administration in the fight against ISIS, President Obama simply hasn’t mustered the passion needed to defeat the terror group.

“We're not asking a lot of the president. We're simply asking what the French president has, for a modicum of urgency, a modicum of commitment, and it has never been there,” said Krauthammer, a syndicated columnist and Fox News contributor. “It isn't there now, and it's not going to happen between now and the day he leaves office.”

Krauthammer added that Obama hasn’t done “anything serious” to stop the rise of Islamic jihadism, and instead has been pushing for an end to a war that is spinning more and more out of his control.

“Wars end when either one side is defeated or the other side stops. The other side is not stopping,” he said. “Under Obama's tenure, Al Qaeda, which is sort of international terrorism, jihadist terrorism, has expanded to a point where a branch, ISIS is essentially a branch, is the largest training camp of terrorism in the history of the world.”
