Caitlyn Elizabeth Brune became the bride of Seth William Buckman at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, in St Benedict's Catholic Church, Subiaco. Monsignor Francis Malone of Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Janice and Dennis Brune of Sheridan. Her grandparents are Margaret Moser and the late Donna and Thomas Brune, all of North Little Rock.

Parents of the bridegroom are Elizabeth and Lawrence Smith of Little Rock and Scott Buckman of Springfield, Mo. His grandparents are the late Imogene and William Behringer of Louisiana, Mo., and the late Dorothy and Van Buckman of Shelbina, Mo.

Church pews were decorated with gold and red bows and evergreens. Music was by classical guitarist Tina Brune, cousin of the bride, and vocalist and organist Brother Dominic Faciane.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore fit-and-flare gown with long sleeves and an illusion overlay embellished with re-embroidered lace and pearls. She wore her mother's cathedral-length lace wedding veil and carried a bouquet with red roses, tulips, white spray roses, small pine cones and red Christmas ornaments.

Serving as matron of honor was Tisha Duboise Brune of Sherwood, sister-in-law of the bride. Also named matron of honor, but unable to attend the ceremony, was Jennifer Daly Harms, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jennifer Thomas of Sherwood; Haley Harris of North Little Rock; Penny McSpadden of Mt. Vernon; Clare Buckman of Conway, sister of the groom; and Jenna Matthews and Veronica Smith, sister of the groom, both of Little Rock. They wore red gowns and carried red and gold ornament bouquets with Christmas greenery.

Flower girl was Hannah Marie Brune of Sherwood, niece of the bride, and ring bearers were Miller Buckman and Taylor Buckman of Columbia, Mo., cousins of the groom.

Serving as the groom's best men were Buck Butler of Dallas and John Zagurski of Fort Worth. Groomsmen were Brad Thomas and Scott Brune, brother of the bride, both of Sherwood; Joe Matthews of Little Rock; Kyle Parks of Fayetteville; Patrick Willey of Conway; and Casey Buckman of Columbia, cousin of the groom.

A reception was held at Cabin Creek Lookout in Lamar. Guests tables were centered with gold trumpet vases filled with evergreens, red and gold Christmas balls and red hypericum berries or with lanterns, evergreens, candles and red and gold Christmas balls.

The bride graduated with honors with a bachelor's degree in health science from the University of Central Arkansas. She also has a master's degree in occupational therapy from UCA and is an occupational therapist and certified wound therapist at the Central Arkansas Veteran's Health Care System.

The groom, also a UCA graduate, has bachelor's degrees in insurance and risk management and family and consumer science with an emphasis in nutrition. He is working toward a master's degree in nutrition and is employed at Arkansas Children's Hospital in the Clinical Nutrition Department.

The couple will live in Sherwood and plan a honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean at a later date.
