Syracuse forward announces he'll transfer to Vanderbilt
Yes, Vanderbilt added a transfer. And yes, there’s still room for Romeo Langford.
The Commodores added small forward Matthew Moyer, who announced on Thursday that he’ll transfer from Syracuse to Vanderbilt:
I am so blessed to announce that the next step in my academic and athletic journey is to Vanderbilt to play for Coach Drew!! #GodsPlan ⚓️⬇️ pic.twitter.com/k9iEYqBOgC

Moyer will have to sit out the 2018-19 season and he’ll have 2 years of eligibility remaining.
The 6-8 forward averaged 3.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game as a redshirt freshman in 2017-18. He started in 20 games for a Syracuse team that made a surprise run to the Sweet 16.
As a member of the 2016 class, Moyer was rated the No. 10 small forward and the No. 66 player overall.
With Moyer on board, Bryce Drew is in position to add a major influx of talent. The Commodores already signed a 4-star recruit and a pair of 5-star recruits, which gave them the No. 9 class nationally.
They can add a third 5-star recruit if they can pry the aforementioned Langford out of Indiana. He’s set to decide between Vanderbilt, Indiana and Kansas on April 30.
