A Visalia man wanted by authorities in Southern California was captured over the weekend, according to Tulare County Sheriff's Department officials.

On Saturday, Tulare County detectives were called by detectives with the San Diego Sheriff’s Department regarding a man with outstanding arrest warrants, who they believed was living in Tulare County.

San Diego detectives suspected that Jonathan Rodriguez-Guzman, 23, was selling drugs in their area.

After getting the call, Tulare County detectives started surveillance on the suspect.

Although wanted by San Diego authorities, Guzman lives in the 32600 block of Grandview Street in Visalia, detectives said. It's unknown how long Guzman is suspected of trafficking drugs over county lines.

He was arrested and booked into Tulare County Pretrial Facility. He will eventually be extradited to San Diego County.

Guzman's bail is set at $500,000.
