Detroit R&B singer Kem performs at Chene Park on Saturday, June 25, 2016, in downtown Detroit.

A doubleheader by hometown R&B star Kem leads a new batch of shows being rolled out by Chene Park Amphitheatre for the 2018 summer season.

Kem's Aug. 3-4 stand is among the newly announced concerts set to go on sale next weekend, following the riverside venue's initial lineup announcement last month.

Other new dates include Earth, Wind & Fire (Aug. 18), a co-headlining bill with the Roots and Common (July 27) and an R&B pairing of Ne-Yo and Brandy (July 20).

The veteran Mexican-American band Los Tigres del Norte will be making its first Detroit appearance in more than a decade (May 31), while a package bill featuring A Flock of Seagulls, the Romantics, Wang Chung and others will deliver a shot of throwback '80s pop (July 28).

The announcement comes on the heels of Chene Park's unveiling in March of a season schedule that includes Patti LaBelle, Babyface, Erykah Badu, Nas and a teaming of Bobby Brown, Ronnie DeVoe, Ricky Bell and Mike Bivins.

Tickets for the new shows will go on sale at 10 a.m. April 14 through Ticketmaster and at the Chene Park box office at 2600 Atwater.
