Robbery Attempt Caught On Video At South Pasadena Jewelry Store

One of the suspects attempted to stab the jewelry store owner.

SOUTH PASADENA, CA – An attempted robbery was caught on surveillance video at a South Pasadena jewelry store Friday morning, and the store owner was nearly stabbed.

The attack occurred about 10:55 a.m. at Vana Watch and Jewelry at 1401 Mission St., according to the South Pasadena Police Department.

Security video shows two men milling about the store for nearly five minutes before one of them attempts to stab the proprietor. The suspects then flee out the front door, pursued by the owner and two other men, one with a drawn handgun.

"Both suspects fled the location in what is describe as a green Chevy Malibu after another store employee pointed a gun at them," according to a police statement.
