Digital photography training at IGRMS ends

Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya under its popular summer series of ‘Do and Learn’ educational programme, from June 20 to 27 on Digital Photography concluded with its valedictory function on Thursday.

Valedictory was chaired by Joint Director IGRMS Dilip Singh. Photographs exposed by the students in these days were viewed by the Chair, Participants and their parents in presence of IGRMS Officials. Participants expressed their hearty desire to extent such kind of training program in near future.

They expressed their gratitude to the trainers and the Management committees for organizing such a wonderful training programme. They also appreciated the Friends of Museum scheme where they get good discounts in many activities of IGRMS. Participants in their feedback to IGRMS told that this workshop changed their vision to see their surroundings. They are now prepared enough with the knowledge of photography to face any photographer, as they have told their photographs exposed in these days were praised by their face book friends. All were very happy and recorded their desires to join next workshop on photography.

At the end of programme, Tapas Kumar Biswas (Workshop Coordinator) gave the votes of thanks. The program was conducted by SK Pandey (Asst Keeper, IGRMS).

Besides, under the instructions of UNSECO and Yoga Protocol, Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya commenced the training workshop on Yoga till July 8 for the Employees of Museum. In this workshop, Akanksha Sharma, Yoga instructress is imparting training of on various Yoga & Pranayamas to the registered Participants.

On this occasion, Akanksha Sharma told that, Bhramari Pranayama, also known as Humming Bee Breath, is a calming breathing practice that soothes the nervous system and helps to connect us with our truest inner nature. Bhramari is the Sanskrit word for “bee,” and this pranayama is so named because of the humming sound produced at the back of the throat during the practice—like the gentle humming of a bee.
