Nothing can stop him! Donald Sutherland‘s shooting schedule on the new FX drama Trust would bring a man half his age to his knees, but in an interview with Closer Weekly, the 82-year-old says “it didn’t feel like work” to him.

“It was 12 hours a day on the set, with half an hour for lunch, six days a week, and we were shooting at least an hour away from where I was living,” he tells Closer. “I didn’t even get time to have a nap, and when you’re 82, you need a nap.”

Still, he says, playing J. Paul Getty, the billionaire whose grandson was abducted in 1973, was an honor. “It was quite exhausting, but it doesn’t have anything to do with work. It’s a fulfillment of passion.”

With roles opposite Helen Mirren in the recently released film The Leisure Seeker and Brad Pitt and Tommy Lee Jones in the upcoming sci-fi movie Ad Astra, Donald shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. “When you work with great people,” he says modestly, “it’s just thrilling.” No doubt his co-stars know the feeling.
