Long Island Pekin Officially Opens In Babylon Village

BABYLON, NY - A highly anticipated new Chinese restaurant in Babylon Village hosted its grand opening this week.

Long Island Pekin, located on 96 E. Main Street, officially opened its doors on Wednesday.

The new eatery is planning on bringing authentic duck and dumplings to Long Island so that residents don't have travel to Queens or Manhattan to get the best Chinese cuisine.

The restaurant will include a condensed menu rather than a large Asian fusion menu specializing in handmade dumplings and peking duck.

Prior to the opening, Long Island Pekin was already garnering excitement from the local community.

"A lot of people are excited for us to open because it is unique and in my experience the town has been so kind," owner Jason Lee told Patch.
