LULING, Texas (KXAN) — A threat made against a student and Caldwell County school Tuesday morning ended in the arrest of an 18-year-old man.

Around 11:04 a.m., sheriff’s deputies received a call from the Prairie Lea Independent School District about a terroristic threat.

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office was told the suspect was 18-year-old David Baros — and asked the Luling Police Department for help locating him at his last known address in Luling. 

He was found in Luling and taken into custody without incident. As a precaution, the Prairie Lea School campus was placed on lockdown until it was confirmed that Baros was in custody.

The school, located at 6910 State Highway 80, is located 7 miles northwest of Luling. 

Baros is currently being held in the Caldwell County Jail on charges of terroristic threat and evading arrest or detention.
