Adoptable Alexandria Pet: Peppermint Patty Seeks A Fitness Buddy

We're not talking about the Peanuts character. Peppermint Patty is a senior dog who loves meeting people and dogs.

If you're making a fitness-minded New Year's resolution, it might be more fun to do with a furry friend by your side.

Peppermint Patty is a senior dog that could use a fitness buddy to lose weight with. She is one of the available pets at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. Virtual and in-shelter appointments are offered to potential adopters at AlexandriaAnimals.org/Adopt-By-Appointment.

Peppermint Patty, Senior, Female, Black Labrador Retriever
Hi there! My name is Peppermint Patty and while I may look like a big old bear, I am actually just a huge love bug! I am a 10-year-old female who came to AWLA through one of their transfer partners. Like everyone else, I actually put on a couple of extra pounds during the holidays and am hoping to find a fitness partner so we could lose weight together! I could certainly use to slim down a bit. I am a very social dog - I love everyone I meet, including other dogs. They say I am a senior, but I don't feel like one! I still love my walks and playing with toys. I am a very affectionate girl and love getting scratched and petted. If you do those things for me, I will never leave your side! I could see us cuddling up on the couch at night after a nice long walk. So if you think we could be a match, make an appointment to come see me today at AlexandriaAnimals.org/Adopt-By-Appointment. I am keeping my paws crossed!
