One injured in Brownsdale crash

BROWNSDALE — One person was injured in a crash Saturday in Brownsdale.

The crash happened at about 4:35 p.m. at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 56 and Mower County Road 2 (Mill and Main streets in Brownsdale).

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Orville Duane Jensen, 83, of Preston, was heading east on Main Street. He stopped at the intersection, then pulled into the intersection and was hit by a semi driven by Richard Dean Gehling, 61, of Grand Meadow. Gehling was northbound on Mill Street.

Jensen suffered a non-life threatening injury and was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin. Gehling was not injured, according to the report.

The Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Brownsdale Fire Department and Gold Cross Ambulance assisted at the scene.
