Jon Jones CSAC hearing LIVE video stream for UFC 232 reinstatement

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, is not eligible to compete in mixed martial arts (MMA) after California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) revoked his license earlier this year.

That means the promotion either rolled the dice or expect his reinstatement hearing to be nothing more than a formality (thanks to this guy’s help) as “Bones” gears up for his UFC 232 title fight opposite longtime rival Alexander Gustafsson.

While their 205-pound rematch takes place on Dec. 29 in Las Vegas, Nevada won’t grant Jones a license while it’s under lock and key with another stateside commission. So, the embattled pound-for-pound great will appear today (Dec. 11) in front of the CSAC panel to explain how he managed to turn over a new (and less scientific) leaf.

No question his history of poor choices will come up during questioning, but the reason his license was put on ice is because Jones failed his UFC 214 drug test, causing his win over Daniel Cormier to overturned and his title to be stripped.

At least Jones cleared this hurdle.

Assuming he can convince the commission he’s finally on the straight and narrow, “Bones” will likely set his sights on heavyweight — and a third dance with “DC” — assuming he can turn away “The Mauler,” much like he did at UFC 165 back in late 2013.

It all starts today at 1 p.m. ET in the embedded video above.
