Police searching for car involved in crash that seriously injured two motorcyclists
Video from a serious motorcycle crash is being shared by investigators, who hope the public can help to identify a car that was involved in the incident.
On Sunday, just before 8 p.m., 911 calls reported a motorcycle crash at Bedford Street and the intersection of Winter Place Plaza in Bridgewater. Police and paramedics found that the operator and passenger of a 2001 Harley-Davidson suffered serious injuries in the crash.
Video shows the motorcycle swerve, apparently trying to avoid colliding with a car that pulled out of a parking lot. Police said the motorcycle swerved off the roadway and struck a tree.
The rider, a 49-year-old man from Middleborough, was taken to the Brockton Hospital by ambulance and then moved by helicopter to Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The passenger, a 53-year-old woman of Wareham, was taken Boston Medical Center by ambulance with serious injuries.
Based on the video, police are looking for a red, four-door sedan that appears to be involved in the crash. Police believe the vehicle may be a Honda Civic.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call Detective Sgt. Anne Schuster at 508-659-1514 or the detectives’ main number at 508-279-1111.
