FBi Leads Arrests Of 23 At Fort Apache Indian Reservation

Federal and state law enforcement officers execute dozens of warrants and arrested 23.

FORT APACHE, AZ – The FBI led a raid at the Fort Apache Reservation, executing nearly three dozen warrants on people related to a variety of different crimes. Agents from the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Drug Enforcement Agency, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and state and local agencies also participated.

Twenty-three people were arrested.

People were arrested on federal charges including narcotics trafficking, assault, rape, sexual assault, domestic violence, and parole violations. Others were arrested on state charges including felony failure to appear and probation violations stemming from crimes such as assault, sexual assault, and narcotics trafficking.

Local agencies participating in the raids included the Navajo County Sheriff's Office, the Gila County Sheriff's Office, the White Mountain Apache Rangers, and the White Mountain Apache Police Department. "The FBI, along with our law enforcement partners, will continue to identify, pursue, and apprehend fugitives from justice," FBI Special Agent in Charge of the Phoenix Office, Michael DeLeon, said.
