Cinnamon Shore's walkway to the beach is just steps away.

In three sentences or less, summarize why you love your home: Oh, we love our beach home at Cinnamon Shore – not only because it’s right on the Gulf, but because it’s part of an incredible community--a landmark development on Mustang Island and on the whole of the Texas Coast. It has been such a joy to come here and make memories at the shore with our family.

Why did you decide on this home: We chose this home first and foremost for the amazing views over the dune line to the glorious Gulf and well-maintained beachfront at Cinnamon Shore. We wanted a beach home, and this one took our breath away. Back porches and decks on all three floors made for great places to relax, and beautiful common areas feel comfortable but tailor-made--like the spacious living room with stacked-stone fireplace and exposed beams on the ceiling. Each bedroom has its own special qualities, and extras like the exercise room, made it perfect for us.                        One thing I’d change about my house: I can’t think of anything! With a reverse floor plan that has the main living space on the third floor to take advantage of the water views and a lovely, welcoming entry opening to guest rooms on the first and second floors, it’s pretty perfect from top to bottom.

I get ideas/inspiration for my house: By visiting friends’ homes and vacationing in beautiful places and spaces.

The striking entry is walled in wood planks and floored in Saltillo style tile giving the home a South Texas coastal look.

My home’s best feature: Besides those Gulf-front views, it’s the custom details and extras that make it so special--the wet bar in the living room for entertaining, the gorgeous, custom light fixtures, including a chandelier, made with seashell detailing, the full shower in the double garage where we easily rinse off the sand after a day at the beach. As spacious as the home is, it’s the little things that make it very livable at the beach.

Three words that describe my home: Luxury, Eclectic, Family-friendly

If my kitchen walls could talk: We love this kitchen! It’s totally state-of-the-art and just so gorgeous, with that wonderful island space. The walls would bear witness to many fun times had at the shore. They would recall laughter and beach breezes from all the evenings we left the doors open to the third-floor porch during dinner time and cocktail hour.

My home’s most complimented feature: Probably the centerpiece of the living room – the amazing stone fireplace, custom-designed by our interior designer. We gathered here so many after days on the beach, and it just felt like such a cozy space to relax.

The open kitchen has an island bar with seating for six, two refrigerators and a commercial style Wolf gas range.

Favorite room (and why): Well, our master suite just feels like such an escape in and of itself. With those gorgeous views and private porch overlooking the water, not to mention the meticulously designed master bath, it’s really a haven.

Unannounced guests would find my home: Vacation-home ready, which means maybe a beach towel drying on a porch railing. It’s such a beautiful space, thanks to the designer who knows us so well and put heart and soul into. Visitors might find appetizers on the kitchen island, ready for sunset cocktails. But a beach home like this never feels a mess, only beachy and well-loved.

This item would never make it through the front door: Anything that feels inauthentic. The pieces our interior designer selected, from the art to the custom light fixture and vintage shutters used on the inside as accents, have character. The whole home has a nostalgic warmth, but still feels sophisticated—sort of an elevated coastal style.

Kids, big and small will enjoy the first floor bunk room which sleeps 5 or more

Three items homeowners definitely need: French doors that open to a porch, comfortable, King-size beds, and a corkscrew.

I will always have space in my home for: Guests and their families. We wanted lots of room to invite people to enjoy this home with us, and we loved that this home’s five bedrooms and six baths. The bunk room has two sets of built-in bunks and a darling, built-in daybed in between, and every other guest room has a king-size bed.
