Suspect struck by vehicle while running from Ohio police

A suspect running from police was struck by a car but was not seriously injured, reports say.(cleveland.com file photo)

FOREST PARK, Ohio -- A man running from police officers after a traffic stop was injured Sunday when he was struck by a vehicle, reports say.

Fox 19 reports the unidentified suspect was stopped by police just after 6 p.m. Sunday.

Police say the man, who did not have a driver's license, was in custody but then tried to run. WCPO Channel 9 reports officers used a Taser but it did not slow the suspect.

The suspect was struck by another vehicle in a nearby intersection. His injuries were not serious.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the suspect was not charged.

Forest Park is a suburb of Cincinnati.
