News Anchor

Erin Clark is co-anchor of KSBW Action News 8 at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. Erin is an Emmy Award winning journalist who has worked at KSBW 8 for more than 25 years. Erin came to KSBW from Vermont where she attended college at the University of Vermont and began her career at Hearst Television Inc sister station WPTZ-TV as a general assignment reporter before being promoted to anchor. In January of 1998, Erin moved west, taking over for the retiring Dina Eastwood, and anchoring alongside Dan Green. Erin was born in Washington, DC where her father was attending physician to congress. A little known, but interesting fact: Erin and Dan Green were born at the same hospital in Washington, DC and delivered by the same doctor who also delivered John F. Kennedy, Junior. Although born in the nation’s capital, Erin grew up outside of Chicago, attending Glenbard West High School before leaving the Midwest for college and eventually California. Over her 20+ years with KSBW 8, Erin has covered many big stories and events including wildfires, a royal visit, Climate Change Summit, political rallies for presidential contenders, Big Sur marathons and three U.S. Open Golf Championships, just to name a few. In addition, she is the driving force behind the station’s Health Watch 8 franchise. Reporting on medical breakthroughs, healthy living, diet and exercise, Erin is committed to helping people make the healthy choice. Currently she is working a leading advocate for KSBW’s Youth Mental Health initiative. Erin has two children. Her daughter is a graduate of USC and her son a recent graduate of San Diego State. She recently remarried and now lives happily in Carmel with her new husband and adorable Golden Retriever, Gus.
