Tornado Damages Homes, Businesses In Munfordville

(MUNFORDVILLE, Ky.) -- Homes and businessses in and around Munfordville sustained heavy damage as an early morning storm blew through the area.
National Weather Service meteorologist Benjamin Schott says a crew is investigating a possible tornado in the area.
Tops of buildings were blown off and ten to 15 homes appeared to be completely destroyed.
The city lost power at about 4:40 a.m. (central time), knocking out the sirens used to warn citizens of a tornado. Officials say no one was killed in the storm.
Governor Ernie Fletcher was scheduled to tour the area today.
