Sick puppies found dumped by side of road


Seven puppies have been found dumped in a carton on the side of the road in Queensland.

RSPCA Queensland is calling for information about the puppies found in the Forest Hill area near Gatton.

All seven puppies are suffering from generalised demodex, mites that lead to significant hair loss and scarring.

They were picked up by a member of the public and taken to UQ Vets – Small Animal Hospital before being transferred to the RSCPA.

“It’s upsetting to see this sort of treatment with any animal, to see it in seven young and loving puppies is truly heartbreaking,” RSPCA chief vet Anne Chester said.
