A county sheriff's department has identified a 7-year-old Maine boy who was mauled to death by a pit bull.The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office said Monday that Bangor resident Hunter Bragg was playing with two other kids in a yard in Corinna when a male pit bull attacked.Officials say the dog's owner and the boy's father were inside a residence when the attack happened.The boy died at the scene Saturday evening, and the dog was euthanized at the request of the owner.Officials say they continue to investigate the events leading to the boy's death. A county sheriff's department has identified a 7-year-old Maine boy who was mauled to death by a pit bull.

Officials say the dog's owner and the boy's father were inside a residence when the attack happened.
