A Pennsylvania college student has been arrested for secretly recording women going to the bathroom in three different states.

The district attorney claimed Joshua Yannuzzi, a 24-year-old theater major at West Chester University in eastern Pennsylvania, taped his iPhone inside bathrooms to record them in various states of undress, reported Lancaster Online.

Yannuzzi allegedly didn’t limit his misdeeds to one location. At least eight different sites — in three states — have been listed as spots where he recorded women. They include theaters in Berywn and Reading, Pa.; the university’s E.O. Bull Center; a Rising Sun, Md., theater; and various residences in Rehoboth Beach, Del., according to investigators.

Prosecutors claim he made more than 50 recordings during the last two years. He also reportedly posted one video online that was viewed more than 1,000 times.

“The defendant was a technological predator,” said Chester County DA Tom Hogan. “Using his ties in the theater community, he specifically targeted certain young women for hidden recordings in private places.”

The suspect faces more than 100 charges, including multiple counts of invasion of privacy, felony wiretap violations and criminal use of a communication facility.

Officials claim Yannuzzi, a frequent performer in live shows, targeted women he knew though their performances.

Cops became involved when a young woman discovered an iPhone pointing toward a toilet in a single-person bathroom on campus. Police discovered Yannuzzi outside the facility after giving the phone to them.

“Using his ties in the theater community, he specifically targeted certain young women for hidden recordings in private places, all for his own sexual gratification,” stated Hogan in a release. “The victims, the victims’ friends and family, and the entire theater community have been betrayed.”
