Is George R.R. Martin planning for a Game of Thrones Prequel?
It's been over five years and the world is still waiting for best-selling author George RR Martin to release the sixth book in the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' series. But looks like the author is busy writing not just the book, on which the popular TV series Game of Thrones (GoT) is based, but a prequel to it too.
The author recently revealed that he has worked on the prequel of the fantasy series novel. “I do have thousands of pages of fake history of everything that led up to Game of Thrones, so there’s a lot of material there and I’m writing more,” he told Deadline, in an interview at the 2016 Emmys Sunday night.

But he was quick to add that right now his priority lays in compeleting the new book, The Winds of Winter, and the final two seasons of the GoT. “At the moment we still have this show to finish and I still have two books to finish so that’s all speculation,” he added.
