Iberia beats Richland to reach tournament championship game

IBERIA, Mo. - The Iberia Rangers didn't let a sluggish start bother them as they defeated the Richland Bears 56-42 on Wednesday in the semifinals of the Iberia Tournament.

The Bears took a 15-5 lead after one quarter of play, but the script flipped in the second quarter as the Rangers led 23-19 at halftime. Iberia continued its run in the third quarter to lead 44-29 heading to the fourth quarter.

Hayden Humphrey led a trio of double-digit scorers for Iberia with 13 points. Carter Halley and Garrett Ray scored 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Iberia (7-10) will face either Vienna or Dixon at 8 p.m. Friday in the championship game.
