CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio -- Chagrin Falls Middle School and High School art students “Dared to be Creative” at the Spring Art Show April 11-14 in the Hamlet Atrium. The show is a testament to the District’s incredible art department and to the dedication of its students who work so hard to perfect their skill. Showcased pieces ranged from the Scholastic and Governor award-winning student pieces, to film and digital photography artwork and 2D and 3D pieces. Almost every middle school student had a piece in the show.
Opening night on April 11 had live entertainment by the Chagrin Falls High School Jazz Band. An awards presentation was held with judges ranging from teachers, administrators, and community leaders. Winners included:

The PTO Art Show committee consists of co-Chairs Chris Kukla and Colleen Mahoney, along with
Brigid Gilmore, Carrie Hawk, Jackie Kruyne Jerrel Mattson, Loren Winans and Christy Wynveen. Art instructors include Libby Harrold, Art Department Chairperson, High School Art Teacher; Jill Eisert, High School Art Teacher; Dawn Serazin, High School Art Teacher and Amy Fenton, Middle School Art Teacher.
Chagrin Falls High School seniors that will be attending art school to study visual arts next year were recognized. They include Emily Owens – Illustration, Milwaukee Institute of Art; Alice Patton – Fashion Design, Parsons School of Design; Lindy Cunnington – Fine Arts, school undecided; Kate Flynt – Fine Arts, Ohio State University and Lucy Fricke – Architecture, Wake Forest.
