As thousands of Christians hike up to Agape Farm in Shirleysburg, Pennsylvania for Creation Festival 2019, we hope they packed sunscreen… and a poncho.
The weather forecast for the multi-day Christian music festival is a hot one. The festival started on June 26 and continues through the morning of June 30 -- and attendees will be treated to 90 degrees highs throughout. Luckily for them, today, June 27, is the hottest day of the stretch with a high of 91 degrees that actually feels more like 99 degrees.
Here’s what to expect from the weather in Shirleysburg during Creation, according to Accuweather.
- Thursday, June 27: High of 91 degrees, low of 67 degrees. That high will feel like 99 degrees, though. Mostly sunny.
- Friday, June 28: High of 90 degrees, low of 69 degrees. The high temperature will actually feel more like 98 degrees. Partly sunny and very humid with a precipitation chance of 25 percent.
- Saturday, June 29: High of 90 degrees, low of 68 degrees. The high will feel like 99 degrees, however. Expect a thunderstorm or rain at some point during the day -- there’s a precipitation chance of 55 percent, and a thunderstorm chance of 60 percent. The good news is, Accuweather predicts the rain will last less than 2 hours.
- Sunday, June 30: High of 87 degrees, low of 62 degrees. The high will feel like 91 degrees, though, so be prepared. Partly sunny weather with some definite humidity.
Creation is a conglomeration: part music festival, part youth retreat, part worship service. It’s one of the largest Christian festivals in the world, with 15,000 people attending in 2018. This year, headliners include Elevation Worship, Hillsong Worship, Skillet and David Crowder.
