Five things to do in Tuscaloosa this weekend

No. 1: The Green Scenes Indoor Summer Movie Series begins with a showing of "Moana" at 1 p.m. Friday at the Richard A. Curry Jr. Complex, 3440 Kauloosa Ave. Admission is free. The movie series, which continues each Friday through the end of June, is is presented by the city of Tuscaloosa environmental services division. Free popcorn and refreshments will be provided by Coca-Cola Tuscaloosa. An adult must accompany children under the age of 15 and guests are asked to limit five children per supervising adult. Outside food is allowed but will not be provided. Groups larger than 10 people should RSVP to 248-4900. For more information, call Tuscaloosa 311 at 248-5311. 

No. 2: The Orange Constant will perform from 6-9 p.m. Friday during Live at the Plaza, 2106 Sixth St. Admission is free. The band from Statesboro, Georgia, has a vintage rock sound that draws on many influences from Southern rock to urban funk. No. 3: The Bama Belle riverboat has a dinner and music cruise on the Black Warrior River scheduled Friday. The will be The Goods and barbecue will be served. The cost is $35. No. 4: Saturday is a day to celebrate fathers in Tuscaloosa. Fathers in the Park and Impact Day will be from 10 a.m-2 p.m. Saturday at Annette Shelby Park, 1615 15th St. The event features free family fun with activities, games, food and more. No. 5: Patrons can enjoy a low country shrimp boil at 5 p.m. Saturday, Band of Brothers Brewing Co., 1605 23rd Ave., with shrimp, corn, potatoes and sausages prepared and served by Battered Wild, for $11 per pound. The Frayed Knot Band begins playing at 7. For more information, call 246-2569.
