In response to increasing demand for the company's innovative IT services and solutions in the area, this expansion demonstrates tiag's ongoing commitment to customers in the U.S. Army and Redstone Arsenal community.

"Our new Huntsville office provides a quality venue for team and community collaboration for numerous IT initiatives we are proud to support."
tiag Managing Principal and Chief Strategy Officer Umang Modi notes that the new office at 600 Boulevard South SW, Suite 104 in Huntsville provides a centralized location while enabling tiag to focus on accelerating growth while fostering closer working customer relationships with new and existing customers there.
"We currently support the four-star U.S. Army Materiel Command -- the Army's premier provider of materiel readiness across the spectrum of joint military operations -- and this new office will enable us to expand our offerings in cloud migration, data center consolidation, mobile applications, IT system implementation, cyber security, program and project management, and other IT initiatives for military, government and commercial customers," Modi said.
Madison County local Rodney ("Rod") Pennywell will lead as general manager of the new Huntsville office. Pennywell brings vast experience in business development and strategy, program management and systems engineering. Locally established and esteemed within the Huntsville community, Pennywell has worked with regional governments, academia and industry to solve complex problems -- from helping Huntsville's mayor develop a 20-year strategic plan involving high-tech solutions for the city's environmental and energy initiatives, to serving on a task force to improve safety and communications for city schools.
"Many folks refer to Huntsville as Rocket City, H-Town or Huntsvegas. To me, Huntsville is home," said Pennywell, who also is a certified systems engineer.
Previously Pennywell worked for companies including Booz Allen Hamilton, Ernst & Young LLP, among others. He also supported the Missile Defense Agency's development of the ballistic missile defense system. During his 10-year career as a U.S. Army officer and aviator, he was Ranger/Airborne qualified and flew Black Hawk helicopters as a test pilot with the 82nd Airborne Division.
