The cardiac kids were at it again on Thursday.

The South Hills High School baseball fell behind four runs to Ayala (8-10, 2-5) but rallied to secure a 7-5 win in Palomares League action. With the victory, the Huskies (12-5, 5-2) are tied with Glendora for first-place.

“We like to make things very interesting,” South Hills coach Darren Murphy said. “These guys keep batting every single game and it’s neat to watch.”

Spearheading the comeback for the visiting Huskies were Nick Martinez and Isaiah Ayala. In the fourth inning, Martinez connected on a three run home run while Ayala crushed a two-run homer to give the Huskies the lead.

“It’s nice to know that every game matters in our league,” Murphy said. “It’s great parody and it’s fun to do some scoreboard watching. That’s just life in our league.”

The Huskies return to action with a nonleague game vs Northview on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Mt. Sac.
