Vermont Varsity Insider Athletes of the Week: Winners for May 6-12
The votes have been tallied and the winners of the Vermont Varsity Insider Athletes of the Week honors are ... Skyler Graves of Stowe girls tennis and Asom Hayman-Jones St. Johnsbury track and field.
Graves garnered 36.36% of the votes to top the girls field. Hayman-Jones prevailed on the boys side with 43.01% of the vote.
The online voting at BurlingtonFreePress.com began May 13 and closed at midnight on May 16.

Asom Hayman-Jones, St. Johnsbury track and field: Also a key player for the basketball and soccer Hilltopper teams, Hayman-Jones picked up a new sport this spring, track and field, and has excelled out of the gate. At the Burlington Invitational, Hayman-Jones captured the shot put (48 feet, 2.5 inches) and javelin (167).
Skyler Graves, Stowe tennis: The No. 1 singles player from Stowe, Graves posted one of two victories in the last week as a deep Raiders squad remained undefeated.
