She was one of the first stars to appear on TOWIE, in its 2010 inauguration. 

Yet Lauren Goodger seemed to have forgotten her roots earlier this week, when she took to Twitter to share a sneering post about the calibre of reality stars in the current climate, while also hitting out at casting agents. 

Shortly after sharing her message, the 31-year-old reality veteran made an appearance at Wednesday evening's OK! Magazine bash - despite her recent insistence she is in the midst of a strict detox.

Lauren soared to fame as a lead cast member in The Only Way Is Essex, where her romance with Mark Wright dominated storylines. 

Mark and Lauren were arguably TOWIE's original golden couple, with the first two seasons of the structured reality show charting their turbulent on/off relationship peppered with his flings with Sam Faiers and Lucy Mecklenburgh.

After leaving the show in 2012, she went on to briefly return in 2015 and again the following year, and while she made subsequent appearances on Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing On Ice - her name is still synonymous with TOWIE.

Despite her roots, she took to Twitter to lash out at current reality stars, although did not specify which programmes she was aiming at, while also critiquing casting directors and network bosses for their choices of stars.

Lauren has achieved a whopping 18lbs weight loss in 21 days, by experimenting with a controversial 'juice diet', yet she seemed to be on a different type of sauce this week, as she was seen making an unsteady exit from Faces nightclub in Essex.

She is understood to have been surviving almost exclusively on nutritional shakes, but new pictures show the former TOWIE star relaxing the rules of her detox to include a rare boozy night out with her hairdresser pal Shane Smith.

And despite her new regime, she was again out on the town - although there is no evidence she had been drinking - for the OK! bash, where she displayed her sensational figure in a racy sheer leotard with lace inserts.  

Boasting about her extreme weight loss, Lauren said two weeks ago: 'I have lost 1 stone and 4lbs = 18lbs through pure juicing, hikes also some training and either a small salad or soup of an evening!!

'I'm not going lie it's been very challenging but the most rewarding thing I have ever done! I feel powerful and my skin is tanned and glowing the whites in my eyes are sparkling!'

Lauren told New! magazine last year that she was commited to losing weight, and that the only way she would do it would be to ditch the booze.

'I'm on a mission to lose weight,' she explained. 'I've lost 5lbs so far this month and I'm convinced it's because I'm not drinking alcohol. My face is already a lot less bloated.'

The reality TV star also previously confessed that he worst habits are 'alcohol and carbs,' hinting that her night out was sign she'd fallen off the wagon.
