Brittany Robinson tried to get around Bloomsburg's Darcy Lee on Wednesday.

Maura D’Anna is leaner, and while it’s hard to say the soft-spoken junior is meaner, she has developed a beast mode.

D’Anna, a 6-foot forward from Springfield, Va., comes off the bench in the low post for the IUP women’s basketball team. She scored a career-high 18 points on 8-for-9 shooting and Carolyn Appleby fired in a season-high 23 to help carry the fifth-ranked Crimson Hawks to a 73-46 victory over Bloomsburg on Wednesday evening at the KCAC for their third straight win to start the season.
