JACKSON, Tenn. –A joint investigation by Special Agents with the Tennesse Bureau of Investigation and officers from several other West Tennessee law enforcement agencies has resulted in the arrest of a Pocahontas man on charges of first-degree murder.

Saturday night Agents arrested Billy Lynn Tomlinson for the murder of 26-year-old Brandon Josheau Davis.

At the request of the office of 24th District Attorney General Matt Stowe, TBI Special Agents joined officers with the Savannah Police Department, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Department and the McNairy County Sheriff’s Department in investigating the death of 26-year-old Brandon Josheau Davis.

Around 6:20 Saturday morning, officers with the Savannah Police Department responded to a 911 call at an apartment at 120 Robenna Street. When they arrived, they found Mavis shot dead.

During the investigation, Agents developed information that led to 34-year-old Billy Lynn Tomlinson as the suspect responsible for the death.

Tomlinson was arrested in Hardin County Detention Center on the count of First Degree Murder and is being held without bond, pending arraignment.
