Dental Nurses Hand Out Free Fruit in Petersfield

Sample News Big

Dental nurses from Petersfield treated communters to free fruit in a bid to encourage them to see their dentist on a regular basis. Nurses Lisa Jones and Lizzy Rogers from Sixty Six Dental donned apple costumes and handed out fruit to passers-by to celebrate National Smile Month.

Lisa and Lizzy were trying to spread the campaign’s key messages and encourage people to attend regular dental appointments, eat healthily and brush their teeth twice a day.

The dental duo was hoping to make sure commuters realised that attending routine check-ups is more cost effective than waiting util something goes wrong. It also helps to reduce the risk of gum disease, bad breath and dental decay.

National Smile Month is a national campaign run by the Oral Health Foundation. It is supported by organisations, dental clinics, schools and companies all over the country and aims to ensure people have the knowledge to take better care of their teeth and gums.
