Lakeway women’s club meeting features Austin Symphony conductor

Longtime Austin Symphony Orchestra Conductor Peter Bay will be the guest speaker at the March 26 Women’s Club of Greater Lakeway meeting at the Lakeway Resort and Spa, 101 Lakeway Drive.

Bay, who has served as music director and symphony conductor since 1998, has made guest conducting appearances with eighty different orchestras and was previously music director of the Annapolis Symphony, Erie Philharmonic, Peter Britt Festival Orchestra and Breckenridge Music Festival. He held positions with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and Richmond Symphony.

The Women’s Club of Greater Lakeway meets once a month September through May at the Lakeway Resort and Spa. Meetings are free to members, their guests and potential new members. Each meeting begins with a social at 9:30 a.m. and complimentary coffee and tea. A brief business meeting is held at 10 a.m., followed by the speaker’s presentation. Lunch follows by reservation. Cost it $23 for members and $28 for guests.
